ade hauser lacour were doing the redesign of the printed magazine in 2007, and after the good cooperation at Form Magazine it was no surprise (while still very kind) that they asked us to join the team for conception and realization of the website. The layout is inspired by the magazine and repeats some of the main visual characteristics found there, while the content management is once more left to our well established aspekt:ratio system, where we tried to make it as easy as possible for the editorial team to add new content all the time. And it seems to work well.

architektur.aktuell is a magazine from Vienna, Austria published at SpringerWienNewYork that delivers in depth articles about current architectural trends for professionals. In ten issues each year architecture critics provide information about the most important new buildings in Austria and throughout the world. State-of-the-art photography as well as plans and data offer an extensive documentation of built projects. Essays by well-known authors on specific focal themes interpret architecture as a cultural task. Additionally architektur.aktuell offers a panorama of new products from the field of design and building. Interviews, discussions of current exhibitions as well as reviews of books and new media provide accentuated orientation in the current discourse. An events calendar and biographies of the architects whose work is presented ensure a comprehensive supply of information.
